SHAMAMA-E-SHAHI — The Royal Composition of Kannauj
Shamama is not a single ingredient. It is a composition — a blend of 40 or more botanicals that is mixed, layered, and matured over days before it becomes what you smell on skin. No two batches are identical. The proportions shift with the season, the botanicals available, the master's judgment on the day.
This is Kannauj's most complex creation. Saffron, cardamom, cinnamon, rose, jasmine, vetiver, kewra, sandalwood, agarwood, amber, musk — and many more — all present, all balanced, none dominant. A royal composition in every sense.
On skin, Shamama-e-Shahi opens with warm spice and saffron, then blooms into florals and sandalwood. The base is deep, resinous, and lasting — hours of complexity on a single drop.
